Pray for Nigeria: a pastor and at least 27 Christians killed in one week in Plateau State
Pastor Samuel Nandi was killed on his way to a church service in Barkin Ladi on 20 September. At least 27 Christians died across Bokkos, Riyom, Mangu and Jos South that week, and the governor has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew.
Pray: Comfort for Pastor Nandi's family and church, protection for the villages of Plateau State, and justice from those in authority.
Pray for persecuted Christians in Bokkos, Nigeria, after a night raid on their village
Gunmen raided the mainly Christian village of Angwan Tsarki in Bokkos, Plateau State, at about 10 p.m. on 4 October. Two Christians were killed and three wounded, who were taken to hospital in Bokkos town.
Pray: Healing for the three wounded, comfort for the bereaved families, and peaceful nights for the believers of Bokkos.
Pray for Christian girls in Pakistan: UN experts urge protection from forced conversion and marriage
Three UN special rapporteurs told a Human Rights Council side event in Geneva on 1 October that Pakistan's laws against abduction, forced conversion and child marriage need consistent enforcement and better access to justice for religious minorities.
Pray: Protection for Christian daughters across Pakistan, faithful enforcement of the law, and strength for the families and advocates who stand with them.
Pray for justice in Pakistan: Lahore High Court restores the case of an abducted Christian girl
The Lahore High Court has restored a police case against a man accused of abducting and forcibly converting a 12-year-old Christian girl, reversing a magistrate's cancellation. A police reinvestigation found the marriage certificate was forged.
Pray: A just outcome, the girl's safe return and healing, and wisdom and safety for the judge and her lawyers.
Pray for Pakistan's Christians: bishops' report documents blasphemy accusations and forced conversions
The National Commission for Justice and Peace released its Human Rights Monitor 2026. It records eight Christians accused of blasphemy during 2025 and 35 incidents involving minority women and girls, and notes that no one has been convicted for the 2023 Jaranwala church violence.
Pray: Release for believers falsely accused of blasphemy, justice for Jaranwala, and favour for those who speak for minorities.
Pray for Pastor An Yankui, detained in China for leading a house church
Police in Taiyuan detained Pastor An Yankui of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church on suspicion of “organizing illegal religious activities”. It is his second detention on the same charge, and his unregistered church has been raided repeatedly.
Pray: Pastor An's release, peace for his family, and boldness for his congregation to keep meeting.
Pray for imprisoned pastors in China: eight Zion Church leaders are still detained
Pastor Ezra Jin of Beijing Zion Church, released in July after 266 days in a detention centre, says God's word sustained him in his cell. Eight other Zion Church leaders remained in detention as of September.
Pray: Thanks for Pastor Jin's freedom, and release, health and endurance for the eight leaders still in prison.
Pray for Christians in Indonesia: prayer house closed after a machete threat during worship
A man carrying a machete interrupted worship at a GKPI prayer house in Mekarsari village, Banten Province, and threatened bloodshed if the congregation kept meeting. No one was hurt and he later apologised, but local officials then shut the prayer house.
Pray: A place for this congregation to worship freely, and peace between neighbours in Banten.
Pray for the Christians of Gaza as a mother and daughter are laid to rest
Maisa Abu Dawoud and her daughter Mary, killed when an airstrike destroyed an apartment building, were mourned at Saint Porphyrius Church in Gaza City. The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem called for an end to the bombardment and for a just peace.
Pray: Comfort for the small Christian community of Gaza, protection for every family there, and a just and lasting peace.
Pray for Bible access: more than 500 million Christians face restrictions on Scripture
The 2026 Bible Access List, covering 106 countries, names Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, North Korea and Eritrea as the hardest places to obtain a Bible. The greatest shortages are in DR Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, India and Uganda.
Pray: Open doors for God's word in closed nations, and safety for those who carry, print and translate Bibles.
International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church: 1 and 8 November 2026
Churches in every nation will pray together for persecuted Christians on the first two Sundays of November. This year's theme is “Faithful to the End”.
Pray: Plan now to keep a watch in the tower on both Sundays, and bring your church with you.
Evangelism in the UK: more than 10,000 hear the gospel at Franklin Graham's Manchester event
The God Loves You Tour filled Co-op Live in Manchester on Saturday, with worship led by Michael W. Smith and Charity Gayle. Franklin Graham reported that hundreds responded to the invitation to receive Christ.
Pray: That every person who responded is rooted in a local church, and for a fresh move of God across Britain.
Pray for Ukraine: churches appeal for aid as thousands face starvation in Oleshky
Ukrainian churches are appealing for urgent help for the occupied town of Oleshky, where thousands of people are reported to be facing starvation. Pope Leo has been asked to intervene.
Pray: Food and safe passage for the people of Oleshky, and an end to the war.
Praise report: Bible translation reaches 807 languages as Wycliffe marks a record year
Wycliffe Bible Translators reports 28 complete Bibles and 70 New Testaments launched in the past year, more than one every four days. The whole Bible is now available in 807 languages spoken by about 6.2 billion people.
Pray: Thanksgiving for every new translation, and workers and resources for the languages still waiting.
As the day turns around the earth, the watch passes from nation to nation. When it is night in one city, it is morning in another, and someone is always praying.
Drop a prayer
Give it a short heading so others can see it on the home page and pray. Write in English or Urdu, or any language.
Pray live
Join the intercessors in a live session, or stay here and pray through the wall in the prayer room.
Live intercession links will appear here once the pastoral team adds them.
How the tower works
Drop a prayer with a heading. It appears on the home page where people across the world see it and pray.
Take an hour of the 24-hour watch and pray at that hour each day, wherever you live. Your window in the tower lights up.
When God answers, mark it answered and share a praise report, so the whole tower can give thanks.
“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night.” Isaiah 62:6. Hours are shown in your own time zone (), so the watch passes around the world.

Father's Cry Marriage Counseling Center
Help for marriages and homes, built on the seven secrets Father's Cry teaches fathers around the world. Talk in confidence with a trained Christian mentor in your own language.
“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers.” Malachi 4:6
A strong marriage is the first gift a father gives his children. These seven secrets shape every Father's Cry course and every conversation in this center.
The seven secrets come from The Seven Secrets of Effective Fathers by Dr Ken R. Canfield of the National Center for Fathering, the curriculum Father's Cry teaches across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. In Pakistan, Pastor Nadeem Saleem serves as Father's Cry Master Trainer.
